The KEY WORD in Isaiah 44:25-26 is "Predictions" and the apostles NEVER made any predictions setting dates.
by Greybeard inisaiah 44:25-26, i am frustrating the signs of the empty talkers, and i am the one who makes diviners act like fools; the one confounding the wise men and turning their knowledge into foolishness; the one making the word of his servant come true and completely fulfilling the predictions of his messengers.
the record shows your words and many predictions did not come true.
again, the key word in isaiah 44:25-26 is "predictions" and the apostles never made any predictions ever.

Good summary, DesignerStubble, as you were posting, I was trying to do a summary also, ;-)
At 15 minutes in, he starts talking “Bible” as JW’s claim, “nobody knows the Bible better than JW’s do”… Leviticus & Acts are read, and these are given the explanation, "let's just say God is protecting people’s health from invisible bacteria, etc."
16 minutes: He then asks us to just ‘assume’ just for argument sake, that Jehovah actually made a direct command against blood transfusions in the old law testament, and goes to Matthew 12, when the disciples plucked grain on the Sabbath.
17 minutes: When the Pharisees objected, Jesus brought out that David ate bread from the temple, the priests profane the Sabbath, but are not guilty, IF YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT THIS MEANS, I desire mercy, not sacrifice… and something greater than the temple is here, “you would not have condemned the guiltless”,
The legalistic Pharisees, (sound familiar) were complaining that the disciples weren’t following the Law. Jesus said, ‘look, David broke the Sabbath Law, and he wasn’t’ guilty’ Why? His men were hungry.. So which is more important? Legalism? or the needs of the people?
Mark 3, the man with the withered hand… the Pharisees watched to make sure the law was not broken (cured on the Sabbath). Jesus asks “is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm? to “save a life? or to kill?”
18 minutes: Even tho it was against what the Pharisees pronounced as righteous, Jesus thought it was better to save a life…. The Pharisees met to see how to kill Jesus for not following their legal rules! (Maybe today, it would be death by disfellowshipping?)
19 minutes: Luke 14 Jesus is dining with Pharisees, a man had dropsy… he healed him. “Which of you having a son or an ox fall into a hole, will not immediately pull him out?” They could not reply to these things.
Why do your leaders care less about JW children than oxen? According to the law, you are suppose to save your oxen, but according to JW’s not your children?
‘More people have died following this JW blood teaching than died at Marshal Applewhite, at Heaven’s Gate… David Koresh of the Davidian’s, Jim Jone’s of People’s Temple combined.’
Now that is a staggering reality…..

Good points, CrazyGuy, I wish I could condense it, it is a bit long... I agree, but good points.
Kind of striking is how there is this huge "our kids died for God" article, and the very next article???? White alligators... That IS weird, huh? "Oh, well, let's talk about Alligators now" WT slowly gets you use to tragic events by moving your mind onto the next subject... A lot like Nazi's. Speed up the movies of torture, make it funny, not so hard to do anymore.

Untrusted
by Esmeralda001 ingreetings,it seems that jw immediately assume that all "wordly" people (as they like to call it) are immoral and unworthy of their trust.
i sort of understand how it can be dangerous for a christian to have association with someone who doesn't share their values, but don't you think that some members take the conceal lied in corinthians 15:33 to the extreme?
what about romans 2:14?

Dear Esmeralda,
Reporting "the pig" about child abuse is one of the main reasons that many have left this "looking good on the outside" organization.
Pedophilia has been a problem for a long time, as there is a requirement for two witnesses for elders to do something about it, and that is within the congregation.
Elders do not go to police,(if it is a state law, they are suppose to) they do not usually encourage people to go to the police, make you feel guilty if you go to the police, as "it will take away from Jehovah's name." Most JW's will say "wait on Jehovah" he will take care of it..... It is very twisted. The way the "organization looks" becomes the most important, to the demise of children and their families. My husband was disfellowshipped for testifying in a trial for telling the truth. The WT didn't like it.
Please do a lot of research on this site, JWFACTS, and more. If you do join JW's, and get baptized, and then THE ORGANIZATION changes it's teachings, and you still believe what you were first taught "from the bible" you will be disfellowshipped, shunned, and will lose all relationships built over all of those years.
This group of people can seem, very nice..... it is dangerous.
Be smart, cha ching

Does it have a good blend of facts and emotional content to reach through the mind control? It seems this guy hits the nail on the head! I think it could take witnesses outside their comfort zone, he does a great job with his critical thinking. What do you think?

Watchtower Dishonesty
by Vanderhoven7 injust re-discovered this gem:.
"it is a matter of fact that the history of the watchtower society is riddled with failed date-setting and abandoned doctrine,1 and the society has gone to great lengths to hide this past from its members.
older (incriminating) watchtower publications are virtually impossible to obtain through the society,2 while at the same time members are overwhelmed with "current" watchtower material.. the watchtower society has even gone as far as to publish disinformation about its own history in an attempt to convince readers that watchtower doctrine has remained consistent over the years, and that the society is not a false prophet.

Thank you very much for bumping this up. The work that went into "unwinding this wicked little web they weave, when first they wanted to decieve" is so valuable!
It takes a lot of time to go thru, connecting the dots in a simple way to show their outright lying.
How many people have those old books to check out what is written in them? Why would the people who taught ME not to lie be lying? So we ask ourselves.......

The ARC was not fooled by the testimony it received from all ranges of representatives from the WT. It was refreshing to witness this, as I watched the testimony, and to read this acknowledgement included in Trey Bundy's story:
"Stewart challenged Jackson’s assertion that he felt sympathy for them.
Jackson’s failure to review the testimony of the victims before giving his own “belies his stated sympathy for the survivors and his stated recognition of the importance of their perspectives,” Stewart wrote."

1.Raised since age 5
2. Baptized 1971, age 16
3. Mentally out, physically out the end of 2011 when the article on 607 appeared in the 2 part WT series... 51 years a WT slave
My husband
1. Studied at 14, one of his family members started studying, he stopped, then started again, at 18
2. Baptized, 1971 age 19
3. Out in 2011, 40 years a WT slave (a pioneer, "need greater," M.S., Pioneer, K Hall builder..... many, many hours given)
My kids:
1. Born in
2. Baptized 1983? (not sure, I think he was 16)
3. Out in 2012, 35 years from birth to leaving
(Our children left because of our research and talking to them. We also had many things happen to us that allowed us to see behind the curtain of the WT)
1. Born in
2. Baptized 1998? not sure 17 yrs old?
3. Left 2012, 31 years from birth to leaving
In law:
1. Studied at age 16? 1994
2. Baptized 1996? not sure
3. Out in 2012 18 years in (this person definitely was helped by the internet, tho the actual leaving was due to our initializing/ talking to them)
Relative:
1. Age 4, mom started studying
2. never baptized, always a "believer"
3. Left the grip of WT in 2012 (with the aid of myself) 52 Years a WT slave.
Both my husband & I left because we saw the WT lie. Like good JW's we made sure that we were not influenced by "outside materials" in our decision to leave.
One of the first websites we found was THIS website, and everyone was talking about 607 at the time. I would say the internet provided a great support & comfort to us.
We still would have left, but would not have had all the great resources benefiting from everyone else's hard work, long hours & research done. We are very thankful for this.
All of us have benefited and used the internet intensely as we exited, it reinforced decisions, and helped overcome the mind control & indoctrinational damage the WT does to you.

Poor Abused Children Are Nothing Compared to Poor Abused Watchtower
by totallydisappointed ini've been really disappointed for quite a while nowadays, actually i disassociated out of anger against the elders because i was being bullied over a row about confidentiality.
but that's nothing compared to those poor kids that have been scarred for life because of all the plethora of child abusers acting as elders in the congregations.
i live in the uk and its more prevalent than the common cold.. however, jehovah's organisation as called, seems to have no sympathy for those kids at all.

Dear TD, that is the hard part, isn't it... When you quote scriptures to people when going door to door, hear it told to you over and over from the stage at the Kingdom Hall & assemblies / conventions... "by their fruits you will know them"... & then you have to somehow make excuses for "God's clean pure organization".. Right?
I always thought, "Jesus made no excuses for the Pharisees, why do I have to?"
When a conscience gets burned with a branding iron... it just does not feel so much any more, does it?
Just like you, many of us here cannot stand by and watch children become victims.....
If Jesus cared so much about the children, you would expect people who claim to follow in his steps to do the same...
Congratulations on keeping your conscience,
Cha Ching
